Thickness and Picks
The thickness of woven jacquard mattress fabric can vary. In woven fabrics, the number of picks refers to the number of weft yarns (horizontal threads) that are woven into each inch of fabric. The higher the number of picks, the denser and more tightly and thicker woven the fabric will be.
Non-woven backing
Many woven jacuqard mattress fabrics are manufactured with a non-woven fabric backing, which is typically made from a synthetic material like polyester or polypropylene. The non-woven backing is used to provide additional strength and stability to the fabric, as well as to prevent the mattress filling from poking through the fabric.
